Once a flower
Once a beauty
Once; . . .
faded now dying
now,
petals now flying
now,
empty now grey
now,
no more day
now,
Then; . . .
GOD
New now bright
now,
Blooming now light
now,
Color now verdant
now,
Fed by the Word
and
Now!
Saved from a wretchedness;
Wrought new with blessedness.
Beautiful David!
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteLovely David! The cadence is so fun :) And the message is so meaningful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI got a CD the other day that reminded me of you somehow. It's a compilation of various classical pieces, Chopin Mazurka, Scarlatti sonatas, Bach's two and three-part inventions, performed by Béla Fleck on a banjo :) It's awesome! Edgar Meyer, Joshua Bell, and John Williams accompany him, among others in unique and surprisingly beautiful transcriptions. I think you'd enjoy it :)
